I drove from my house to The Girls school (11ish miles, most of it freeway).

That’s not weird. Do that every morning. What was weird is that during that drive, I never had to brake, slow down or change lanes because of another driver. In fact I did 80% with my cruise control turned on.

This is during what passes for Rush Hour here in Tulsa.

It was there was no one else on the road. Very weird feeling. I could see them, but they just were not in the way.

Then, going from BTW to my office, reality snapped back.

Level of headache (on the 1-10 scale): 6 (mild migraine)
Cause: weather change
Medication taken: 2 Epdrin taken with my nighttime meds, OTC “Headache Relief” 2 tablets this morning.
Result: medication effective, more or less

You wouldn’t think these would make your life suck.

They do, however if the freaking burn out.

$car_maker wants $370 for the parts. Grunt.

Medication taken: OTC “Headache Relief” 2 tablets (500 mg Acetaminophen, 500 mg Aspirin, 130 mg Caffeine)

I’m going to attempt to use this format for my headache diary entries.
Just for those that care, my medication options are the standard OTC options, Epidrin/Amidrin and Imitrex

Old code, that was written by a non programmer.

In a version of BASIC.

BASIC, in fact, is reason why my life sucks. It’s 2007. I’ve been a programmer for mumble long years, and I’m working in a shop that writes production code in BASIC.

I’ve used GOTO statements, for the love of God, because, well, there wasn’t any other way to get around the problem.

Gack.

In addition to my ranting, headache listings and other such likes I’m also going to post photos of mine that I like.

This one was taken last weekend, while I was out with The Girl, helping her with her photography class final project. There is a rant about why I had to help coming up, just BTW, but not now.

Falling while standing

Not really. I have a job, a happy marriage and things I like to do in my spare time.

Then why this blog?

Well, some part of my life do, in fact, suck large amounts of stuff. Chief among them is that I have migraines. My neurologist suggested, in that great Indian accent of hers, that I keep some sort of diary about them.

Yeah, this is, more or less an on line headache diary. It will also be where I rant, rave and carry on.

More to come soon.
