The cunning plan is fully in effect. It’s obvious that the old hard drive had more issues than I thought, based on the speed of some things, like making a EXT3 file system. On the other hand, it’s still not what you would call speedy fast. I’m trying my hand at building everything for a PIII vs generic 486 or better, which might, repeat might, make things run faster, which would be nice.
