I haven’t had a full on get pale and sweaty low blood sugar attack in years. Had one yesterday. Thank all that is Lawful Good that some one, most likely a former tech had left a loaf of bread in the $WeSellUsedMacs’ fridge. Two pieces of stale bread have never done me better. Need to stop skipping lunch, but I’m gaining too much weight on my “Keep me calm and rational” meds. According to what I can find damn near every one that takes Zyprexa gains weight and one in four gains a lot of weight. I’m one of the one in four. I’ve gained back all that I lost due to Aderall and then some. Pants that were bought for me when I was in $WeCureCrazyPeople no longer fit. Pants that had several inches of “slack” 2 months ago are getting tight. When I was forcing my self to eat (oh, 3 months or so ago) I learned to know what 1000 calories looks like. I’m eating 3000 to 5000 a day now. Bleh.

Very low drama, which is good. The VFW did the honor guard, to include the 21 shot volley. The services was done by a retired Navy officer. Very low key, generic Christian, straight from the Armed Services prayer book, which is based, in the large part, on the 1928 Episcopal prayer book. Don would have approved.

I fucking hate it. It’s my only seasonal allergy.

Granted, it’s not as bad as last year, because my meds don’t seem to have that synergistic effect of making me loopy, dizzy and sleepy, but I still have to take fairly strong antihistamines which make me feel like my head is stuffed with low grade cotton. That is better than what I feel like with out them, but it still sucks a large item through a small straw.

I love them, but some times I have issues. My sister, the New Yorker, is back in town, for Don’s service. It’s a bit weird listening to her, you would never know that she was born and raised in Oklahoma, you would think that she was a native New Yorker.

This evening is going to be extra weird, as all 3 of my sibling are going to be in one place at the same time, which normally causes drama. With any luck it will be minor tonight, given the setting.

Don was my technically my step father, but when your mother gets remarried when you are over 30, it’s not really the same.

Don was part of the second group of US Army troop to be sent to the Korean War, not Task Force Smith, but the follow on troops. He was in country less than 10 days before he was injured enough to be medically discharged. In those 10 days, he won the Silver Star.

Rest in Peace.
