Just the ice flowing off the car port. That’s going to hurt if falls on some one.

Well, sort of in the sun. Still have a thin cloud cover to deal with.

We got about 6 inches on top of the 1/2 inch of ice. Generic photos of snow around the house and car to follow, once the sun is up enough so that I don’t have to use flash. The good news is we still have power and interwebs, plus it’s Saturday with nothing to do, so were good. There is a QT with in walking distance if all else fails. Plus a Pizza Hut, a Sonic and an Atwoods, so it’s all good. I’ll get some not so drab and depressing once the over cast goes away.

We have about 1/2 inch of ice over every thing, and it’s still coming down. The Google weather wigit says we should be getting snow later in the day. Oddly this front didn’t trigger a migraine. Mother doesn’t want me to drive her car on the ice, so I am staying home. I’ll try and get some photo of ice encrusted stuff later today.

There is no end to my joy and happiness. Looks like a repeat of the ‘07 storm. Happy happy happy.

However if it’s even raining around 8:30 I’m staying home. I’m not getting iced in at $WeSellUsedMacs

It’s 17 degrees out right now. High of 24 predicted for today (both numbers Fahrenheit). We are supposed to get rain and snow tomorrow.

There is no end to my joy and happiness. Of course when it warms up, it will most likely trigger a migraine, just like it did when it rolled in.

bleh.

It’s cold and gray out. Been that way, more or less, since the great Christmas Eve blizzard of ‘09. Looking out the window is rather depressing. On the other hand, it’s not as bad as the birthday ice storm of ‘07.

*Update* The Google weather thing says we should have snow flurries today and snow showers on Wednesday. Joy and happiness unto me.

To hell with what the roads are like, my drive way is deep enough I can’t get out. Yeah, need to shovel it is I want to go any where. Of course the only snow shovel I know about is in the house on 28th street, which is no help at all. So, we have food and stuff, so we’re good, even if snowed in. Of course looking at the patio, BBQ or outside grilling is right out as well.

Know when I said I wouldn’t get enough snow to shovel? I lied. 6-8″ of snow last night and it bitter freaking cold out.

OK, so it’s a big storm, and it’s several inches per hour, but it’s just a freaking snow storm. Calm the fuck down weather people.

Wheet! Snow! End of the world as we know it! Freak out! OMG stay inside or you will die in the blizzard! Pack a winter survival kit if you go out side!

What the hell would Oklahomans do in some place that really gets snow?

Course right now it’s just sleet, but the roads are starting to suck.

Some time to day it’s supposed to start snowing. Around get out of work time. Mother and I were going to go out to eat, but if it’s dropping 6″ of snow on us that’s not going to happen. I’m going to make a raid on the Reasors at 15th and Lewis and snag a bunch of cheeses and cold cuts so we can have a cheese tray for Christmas nom nom nom.

Speaking of Reasors, I wish they would get their act together and all carry the same stuff. The 15th and Lewis store doesn’t carry Jone’s Sugar cola. The 21st and Yale store doesn’t carry a nice selection “fancy” cheeses. Only the Broken Arrow Reasors normally has J&J fruit pies. This results in a some what scattered shopping trips. High end stuff, 15th and Lewis (plus they are my pharmacy). Soda 21st and Yale. Day to Day, Broken Arrow.
